Maya and Jacob met as students studying at the Lionel Hampton School of Music. They work together as teachers and built an amazing friendship. With a combination of being music nerds and having the dumbest sense of humor, they quickly became best friends. They continue to bother each other at work and during downtime, they will practice and come up with brand new ideas to show their music.
They love sharing their music with everyone. Not only do they love performing with each other, but also hear what their audience has to say. Jacob and Maya said “We are definitely not solo musicians. We work so much better when we share the stage with each other. We can be soloists, but it is so much more rewarding sharing it with someone else.” Maya and Jacob continue to study and teach while delivering professional music for you!

Maya Monteblanco

Maya began her musical journey at the young age of 4 years old when she was entered in a group music class for young kids. Her interest in music grew more and more as the years went on. While she began with piano, the cello became a love at first sight when she decided to switch in middle school. Now, Maya studies music at the University of Idaho while pursuing her dreams of becoming a teacher and being in a music duo.

Jacob Johnson
It seems Jacob was born with a natural talent for piano that was hidden until he got his first piano in 2018. He was instantly in love and began playing constantly. Since finding his passion and talent he has never swerved from his commitment to his music. He plays for hours every day and loves to perform any chance he gets. His love of music is contagious and a joy to share.
Jacob is now a piano education major studying at the Lionel Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho.
